Cristianity
by cobrioc
Christianity gained ground in Sopianae in the 3rd century. The large early Christian cemetery of the city lay below today's cathedral (see picture) and the surrounding area. The unearthing of the burial places started in the 18th century and continue to this day. Tombs, burial chambers, burial chapels and two-storied sepulchral monuments were excavated. The martyrs were usually buried in the more adorned buildings. The frescos of the buildings portray events and people from the Bible and are decorated with Christian symbols.

by cobrioc about Vendéglõ Tettye
Pécs is famous about the large numbers of ambient restaurants and great vines from the worldwide famous vineyards of Villány.
Vendéglõ Tettye is the name of the hillside. It's approachable by bus or possibly by foot (a nice hike). The restaurant is quite big but usually rather full. The service is good but the time between ordering and getting your order can seem like an eternity. Apart from this, everything is great. The setting is beautiful, the restaurant is clean and nicely furnished, and the food... the food is divine. Two thumbs up!
