Pécs Tv-torony a Mecseken....

Pécs Tv-torony a Mecseken.

Tv-tower of 'Mecsek' berg. Specialyti: non go round, conversely floodlit - of old ex.

Különlegessége, hogy ellentétben jóhírû társaival, ez nem forog. Ellenben ki volt világítva - régebben.

Christianity gained ground in Sopianae in the 3rd century. The large early Christian cemetery of the city lay below today's cathedral and the surrounding area. The unearthing of the burial places started in the 18th century and continue to this day. Tombs, burial chambers, burial chapels and two-storied sepulchral monuments were excavated. The martyrs were usually buried in the more adorned buildings. The frescos of the buildings portray events and people from the Bible and are decorated with Christian symbols.

Mecsek Range

by cobrioc

Mysterious Roman burial vaults, Turkish mosques, slender minaret, fine Zsolnay ceramics, grandiose Csontváry paintings, decorative Vasarely patterns, almond trees blossoming in early spring, restaurants and cafés with pleasant atmospheres - this is all Pécs, the 2000-year-old city with Mediterranean climate and mood lying at the southern foot of the Mecsek Range.

by FooLman about Dóm

The atmosphere is almost medieval with large -not too comfortable, but good looking - wooden banks, and tables. Sometimes the waiters are not aboslutely polite, but the food will make you forgive. No personal favorite. They serve man sized meals, great tastes. Stick to Hungarian foods, they are hot, and spicy, but as Dóm serves them are especially great.
