This is the headquarters of the company where I worked from 2000 till 2006.

Besides the many office buildings, hypermarkets and shopping centers in the western part of the city, Budaors (Wudersch in German) has a nice center and a pretty residential area in the northern hills.

Budaors lies just west of Buda (the 11th district) along the highways M1 and M7.
If you happen to pass through, don't miss Hollosy Cukraszda (confectionery) which has great cakes and ice, and very popular at the locals.
It's on the main road # 1 (Szabadsag ut, dir. West, at km # 7) near the western limit of the city.

Budaors

Budaors was founded in 1707, got its name of a Csarda (pub) where a beautiful innkeeper named Lisel operated. Lisi is the Austrian nickname for Elisabeth, which in Hungarian is nicknamed as "Erzsi". Adding the Austrian dialect pronunciation to Erzsi you get "Orsi" and put together with the placename is the name of the town.
