siofok beaches and night life
Is it allowed to bath in the balaton lake? the water is clear or dirty? what about the siofok night life?

Hi it is ofcourse possible to take bath in the Siofok lake :) But the water in Siofok is not too clear :) Because Siofok is a very commercial place with a lot of tourists. I would suggest you to BalatonFured, this is a place on the northern side of lake balaton. For the night life, you can got the CocaCola beach house in Siofok...u should enjoy a lot there.

Lake Balaton is clean water and you can bathe there without any fear, but the water is "muddy" (not very clear) and for me was too cold, but we were there in April......
Siofok is very touristy in the summer, other parts of the lake on the western or northern sides are less traveled, but still expect lots of people.
Hope you enjoy, it is a very beautiful area.

The water is about 26-28 C today. This summer was 32C on 14th jun the hottest I'd seen ever. This temperature is very perfect for bathing

Now is the best the water, enough warm(26 C), even the level is not too high...the quality is good....and the night life is cool...the top in the near,...there are approx. 10 discos at the beach and in the city....
Try that out!!!!

Hello,
general rule to lake Balaton: if you want to bathe and have fun on a beach, then go to the southern coast. If you want to swim or try some watersports (windsurf, sailing, etc) then you'd better to go to the northern coast.
The lake is quite shallow on the southern coast, you need to have a 100-200 meter long walk in the water (depth 40-120 cm) if you want to swim!
Water is clean, but can be muddy.
Siófok is cold "the capital of Balaton". If there is a good place to party at lake Balaton, then Siófok it is.
