pension Krone: Friendly and nice place
We were going to Tihany,but when we went there,it was like a death place(my mother had told that it´s full of life).Maybe it was because it wasnt a holliday-seeson yat.It started to rain so heavily,that we turned around,and went to pension,witch we had seen on the way.They were really friendly,and rooms were big and clean,and even with balcony(Those who know me,know my love of balconys..it comes from my mother!)rain didn´t stop for hours,so balcony was all wet,when it finally stopped..
We even found a perfect Italian restaurant near-my mouth wets to think abot it
Unique Quality: They don´t have minibars at rooms,but you can buy cheap beer or coke from reception.

Haus AQUA: Guesthouse from heaven!
This guesthouse is run by the amazing Szurma familly, who live on the main floor. The rooms are spotless and each has it's own bathroom and balcony. The breakfast buffet is huge and the food is delicious. The guesthouse is located 1 block from the supermarket, 5 minutes from the train station, less than 10 minutes to the main Strand.
Unique Quality: The Szurma family will help you any way they can. They provide maps of the town and recommend excellent restaurants and local cuisine to try.

Anna Villa: Guesthouse
Anna Villa GuestHous is located ~300m from the beach and ~100m from the train station. Quiet surroundings. Balcony on each room Big bathroom. Breakfast is included in the price.

There are lots of rooms to let in Balatonfured -- look out for the signs 'Zimmer frei' -- I rented a room in the new house in my photo for approx 15 Euros/night.

Blaha Lujza Szalloda: In renewed villa
19 double room, style hotel in old (renowed) villa located in the quiet spa district of the town.
Unique Quality: Bar, hotel car park, restaurant, sauna. Its personel speaks Hungarian, English and German.

privat pension: Best accomodation in Balatonfured is ...
You can easy rent a room or an appartment from Hungarians. Many of them have plates in the front of their houses with German and Hungarian inscriptions "Zimmer frei / Szoba kiado". Standarts can differ, so it is a good idea to look a room before rent it, but usually they are quite good. You can have bath, shower, WC, color TV, fridge, balcony. Sometimes breakfasts are included. The most expensive are pensions located close to beaches and promenade, but even there you should not pay more than 15 euro for night / person.
