Pedestrian zone
by socrates_07
The shortest way from the Main Square to the Festetics castle is the
Kossuth Lajos ut.
Its a very pedestrian zone where you can find nice pubs and stores.
Even the supermarket was open on Sunday, thats something which you wont find in Austria so easily.

The Pethoe-house (or Goldmark-house) was not easy to find because it's located behind an inconspicuous gate in the pedestrian zone. (Kossuth u. 20)
This building is of mediaeval origin, it was rebuilt in the 18th century. The composer Karoly Goldmark was born here in 1830
Keszthely - by Balaton
by Kettleman
The last time was in 1996 when my partner and I stayed after the FIM Rally in the Czech Republic on Lake Balaton for a week in a hotel apartment.
The area was full of tourists enjoying the good weather and the salt free bathing in the lake.
We stayed at Club Hotel Abbazia, just a little inland and nearer the centre of the town.
