Erdogyongye Panzio: In the woods

This lovely pension is located in the woods, 3 km from the town center, along the road to Slovenia.
It is surrounded by gullies, valleys, and a beautiful forest. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
If you are looking for a relaxing stay, this accommodation would be the best choice in Zalaegerszeg.

Hotel Arany Baraby: The fifties revived

“Arany Barany” (aka “the golden lamb”) is a cosy hotel smack in the centre of Zal. Prepare yourself for a serious fifty feeling (low ceilings, dark hallways, striped wallpaper, …). The hotel has many facilities, which make it a popular conference venture. The “city centre” is right around the corner (just venture a bit further than the next-door McDonalds : )

More “non-work” facilities are also available, like sauna and massage in the next door health-club and “non-pay-tv” – wink-wink – in the very room).

Next doors, there’s a nice warm and cosy bar (not the ‘casino’, but the one on the left hand side in the basement); a veritable barrel-shaped ‘hobbit-hole’, ideal to enjoy a pint of Hungarian lager and a chapter of your very favourite book. To get there, enter the door just left of the hotel entrance and go down the basement. The bar is on your left.
