The carriage picks you up and the coachman will ask you, where you want to go. We decided a tour around the area until the neighbour village of Zalakaros. Slowly the two horses drag the carriage uphill and downhill, through beautiful landscapes with great views. You can admire and enjoy the area around Zalakaros. As I was with a group of Oriental Dancers for a 5 days workshop there, I miss our solidarity, the pleasure of dancing and the spaciousness of the house 'Himmelreich' there.

It is heaven – the view, the silence, the spaciousness of the house and the garden, the beautiful and huge dancing room with the doors to dance into the garden and the view of the valley of the Ballaton.

"Zalakaros - Hungarian Heaven"
Zalakaros is a 30 to 35 km drive from Hevis, one of the big ‘spa capitals’ of Hungary. A sleepy village, time seems to stand still. Old houses, some nearly fallen apart, some renovated with a lot of feeling for old things. The new houses in Zalakaros and the villages around were built to harbour spa visitors. There are 6000 (!) spa visitors daily! When you drive through the village, you wouldn’t believe it. But when you reach the spa area, you realize the enormity and popularity of the place.
