Be careful what 'private facilities' mean

We booked here for our first night in Reykjavik.
All the comunication went through mail. We asked for a bathroom in the room and they told us that the room would be with the private facilities.
We read in 1 guide that 'private facilities' means that the room is en-suite. Therefore, we didn't ask for more explenation.
But it doesn't necesserily mean that you will have a private bathroom in the room. Not at all. It can mean, like in this case, that you have only a sink. Small sink in this case :). The shower ant toilets were in the corridor shared with other rooms.
OK, for 1 night.....
It was quite clean.
