Xmas in Iceland
Can anyone give me an approximate cost for a three/four course meal in a good hotel and/or restaurant, please? We have been quoted here (UK) approximately £90.00 per person if we book in advance for our meal on 25th in one of the hotels in Reykjavik. Thank you.

Depends on the wine, Sir. Food alone will be 70 GBP and up. The only hotel restaurant worth considering in RVK is Hotel Holt, rest is rubbish whatever they say.

That sounds about right.
I do not agree with the fact that only hotel Holt is the only good restaurant in Reykjavik. This is utter nonsense.

I just returned from Iceland, September 10th. There are numerous good restaurants in Reykjavik!! Nonethelss, be prepared that it is expensive. I went out to dinner to a very nice place...did not make note of the name, but I was prepared to pay $100 per person, with wine. It was pretty darn close and it wasn't Christmas!

Vegamot is nice indeed but it is not a fancy restaurant and I seriously doubt it will be opened on December 25th.
Great place for a brunch after a night out though.
