The hotel is perfectly located at the foot of Snaefellnes Glacier and by the seashore.
If you are looking for a place to relax, hike, birdwatching... this a perfect place.
Other activities such as horse-riding or whale wtching also possible a short drive away.
The rooms are comfortable, with a nice touch of welcome on each pillow: a card with a sentence to chear you up towards life.
There is a comfortable living room with sea view, with TV set (the rooms also have it), books (many abou Icenda, birds and plants of Iceland), magazines, games, binoculars, to spend a little time when weather is not so great outside or relax before a nice dinner.
The entrance room also has tables and chairs for a chat, gazing at the sea, or read some of the good array of brochures available.
Breakfast and dinner are served in another room, also with a sea view.
Rooms face the sea, or the mountain.
We were a bit unlucky, because it was covered by a big foggy cloud the whole time.
There's a big colony of gulls (tridactilas) inside a hole. You can go in to a certain extent in low tide and take very close pictures to the nests and the little chicks.
