Milford
by Marla_D
Milford is situated on the "Barrow Way" (picturesque route along the river Barrow) around 5 miles south of Carlow town, off the Kilkenny road.
It is a really nice spot with three bridges, weir and canal and is very popular with local anglers. Im not sure what kind of fish you can catch though!
Carlow

Carlow town is the county seat of Carlow county, a bustling market town with an ancient history and tradition. The town, established by the Anglo-Normans in the twelveth century, is on the banks of the Barrow river at the northwest edge of the county. The castle on the photo above withstood a siege by Cromwell's troops in 1650. In 1814, during an attempt to renovate the castle for use as a mental asylum, much of the castle was accidentally destroyed, to leave just the west wall and the two flanking towers.
