I've heard an Irish song with lyrics that go something like this:
I met some folks who say that I am a dreamer
I have no doubt there's thruth in what they say.
Actually that's about what I remember ... Can anyone help with the title and lyrics plus a suggestion where I could order the song on cd?
THANKS!
Think this is what you are after:
Song by Charlie Landsborough called The Isle Of Innisfree
I've met some folk that say I am a dreamer
And I've no doubt there's truth in what they say
For sure a bodies bound to be a dreamer
When all the things he loves are far away
I've watched the moonlight peek
Across the roof tops
Of this great city
Wondrous though it be
I scarcely feel its wonder or its laughter
I'm once again back home in Innisfree
And precious things
Are dreams unto an exile
They take him all the night the across sea
Especially when it happens
He's in exile from that dear lovely Isle of Innisfree
I wonder old green hills and sleepy valleys
And find the peaks no other land could hold
I hear the birds make music
Fit for angels and watch the waters
Laughing as they go
But dreams don't last
Though dreams are not forgotten
And soon I'm back to stern reality
And though they pave the footpaths with gold dust
I still would chose my Isle of Innisfree
I still would chose my Isle of Innisfree

fabulous! Thank you! I just love that song :-)
Hi,
for buying Celtic Music a good site is on www.greenlinnet.com. Not sure which artist would have this song though, but you could try a search for it on the site.
"Our" Dutch-Irish club is busy putting more songtexts online, try
www.thecladdagh.nl/nieuws.html , then click on "songs, a-d"
More to come here in the next weeks/months.
Good luck!

I am looking for cheap accommodation for 3 (my husband and I plus 17 yr old son) for 5 nights. Dates: 30 Dec. to 4th January.
Any help appreciated. We would like to be as close as possible to Dundalk, but are open to surrounding areas as we will be renting a car.
Any help appreciated.
Unless you are wanting to stay in hostels, accommodations in Dundalk will run you between 30-45Euro. YOu also have to factor in that most B&Bs close during the Christmas season.
Ardrose B&B, http://www.ardrose.ie/accomidation.html, has Family rooms. I am not sure if they are open during that time frame but you can contact them and inquire. Innisfree, http://www.innisfreeguesthouse.com/Opening/innisfree.htm, is also a very nice B&B.
