Doolin's Best of Both Worlds

We stayed at the Doolin Activity lodge this past July. There were five of us. We were expecting three bedrooms, nothing more. Imagine our surprise and delight when we opened the door to our "room and discovered a three bedroom apartment, with two ensuite rooms and one full bath in the hall, as well as a full kitchen and living room! When I went down to verify that we had been given the right room and that the quoted rate hadn't changed, Niall told me that he had indeed given us the right room, that the rate hadn't change and that the apartments were usually a good fit for groups and families.

They have an internet cafe, a craft gallery and a fantastic restaurant. The breakfast we received every morning was cooked to order from their menu. They also offer lunch and dinner. The views from our rooms were terrific, across the green fields and to the sea and the Arans.

Niall & Deidre were quick to resolve any problems we had, answer any questions we brought to them and quick to offer their tips for our day excursions.

They are right in the hub of all Village activity. There are 3 pubs and 9 restaurants all within walking distance. You can even walk down to the Doolin Pier and catch the ferry over to the Arans. Niall & Deidre will even organize a walking tour, scuba diving experience or caving experience. They can help you with Ferry Bookings and restaurant reservations.

I would recommend this B&B to anyone who asked, without any qualms. It will make their stay in Doolin infinitely more relaxing and enjoyable.

Unique Quality: Our apartment faced the road and was on the second story. This afforded us fantastic views across the pastures, past the tower ruins and on to the sea. One morning was so clear that we could see the Arans.

There is plentiful parking for vehicles and storage for bulky items you might have with you, such as Bicycles, diving gear, acving equipment, etc.

Another benefit is that they are open year round.
