Shannon Cottage: a b&b on the banks of the Shannon

We stayed at Shannon Cottage in O'Briensbridge 2002 and enjoyed it very much. The town itself is charming and has several nice pubs and places to eat in such a small town! The B&B is right on the banks of the shannon - lovely walking path borders the river, fishermen on the shores! Rooms are comfortable; all pine furniture and flooring. Sitting room isn't too comfortable - seating needs replacement! But we never actually spent much time sitting in there, so it didn't matter! The breakfast room is lovely, and the breakfast was delicious. Very pleasant hosts. We stayed there our last night and the drive to the airport was fairly simple. This is not a luxury accommodation, but a family-run b&b - a lovely location, clean, neat, good food...it met my needs perfectly! I'd definitely consider returning!
