Jury's Inn

We stayed here in 2003 and had a pleasant experience. It's a little worn, but very clean and the restaurant was adequate. We found a very reasonable rate on their website and I would suggest starting there instead of using a booking agency. The best thing about it was the location to the bus station, literally just down the street. And it was extremely close to the center of town-about a five minute walk.

Unique Quality: 133 standard rooms
Restaurant
Pub
Meeting room
Laundry/dry-cleaning
Secure parking facility available (two minutes' walk from the Inn, overnight charge of €8.00 will apply)

Minutes walk away from the shopping district. Helps lots especially when it gets so cold. The hotel is also has a nice view of the River Lee which flows through the city, The city's historical sites are within short driving distance.

For the price you cann't go wrong

We recently stayed in Jurys Inn Cork and my whole experience was fantastic. Excellent value for money. The staff were very welcoming & friendly. We were there for a team building exersise (stag doo) and cork was great.Lots of places to eat and drink and the food in the hotel was very good. Going to book again at this hotel with the wife. Buget airlines bring the world closer :)

Run down part of town

by TripAdvisor Member JMAS

Although it is in walking distance of the city centre it is not a location for staying with a family. It is situated in a run down part of town. Suitable for stag parties or such like. The police (Garda) were in and out all evening, to support the hotel's security in removing some unwanted individuals. The staff were really good and helpful. Rooms clean. Value not particularly great though.

Good central location.

by TripAdvisor Member Floorhead

For a 2 star, I was surprised with the hotel. It ought to be a 3, it is clean, rooms are big, and the service was fine. The location is really central if on the edge of downtown, but Cork is a small city. You can walk to the main central street within 5 minutes.

If you want parking, try to arrange it before hand as they have limited spots. We didn't get it, but there is public parking around the block from the hotel at 8 euro for the night. Not too bad.

Nothing flash, but good enough given the price.

Horrendous

by TripAdvisor Member Fion72

We stayed in Jurys Inn for what we were hoping would be a relaxing, pleasant weekend without the kids. Our checkin was slow and the receptionists couldnt have been more ruder and ignorant. We requested a non smoking room but were given a room which was stinking of smoke and we also found a cigarette butt on the window ledge. We went for a meal on our 1st night & it was absolutely diabolical and the waitress couldnt speak proper english. Breakfast the next morning was even worse as the girl taking our room number didnt even look at us-she was more interested in her mobile phone and the stag parties around. The noise was cruel and offensive all weekend and I would strongly recommend that people avoid this so called hotel at all costs-it is more like a half way house.

Surprisingly Good Value

by TripAdvisor Member Cubechick

I just realized that I neglected to review this hotel. Granted my stay was two years ago, but I'm hoping it's still relevent. For the 90 euros that we paid I thought the hotel was excellent.

Our room was huge and clean. The bathroom showed some signs of wear, but was spotless. Our television didn't work initially but that was rectified promptly.

We had dinner in the main dining room as well as the full breakfast that was included in the price of the room.

Both were very good.

All in all we were very pleased with this hotel (although as we were just passing through Cork and ended up here after fleeing from the Killarney Guest House, I can't really comment on it's location).
