More about Maryborough Hotel & Spa

Well worth it!

My fiance and I stayed at the Maryborough Hotel for two nights recently and we couldn't say enough about the place. The staff were very friendly, we felt very welcome and at home. We both work in the service industry ourselves and so we can be very critical if we feel we are not getting good service, but I have to say our expectations were exceeded here. We ate in the restaurant on one night and it was fabulous, we were sorry we hadn't eaten there the first night too! They have recently added a new spa facility which is pure heaven aswell. They have seperate men's and women's thermal suites and relaxation rooms which really surprised us as we felt a lot more comfortable in there and were not at all disappointed that we couldn't share the same facilities.
We will definitely go back there to the Maryborough in the near future, and we would highly recommend it to anyone who has not already been.

exceeded expectations

As a 26 year old female traveller going to Cork for a relaxing shopping weekend I am now a big fan of this hotel and it will be my first choice next time I visit Cork.Firstly the room was far bigger than Id expected with a great choice of TV and music channels. Then I had a really relaxing swim in the pool in that night, after enjoying the complimentary irish coffee I got at reception.I loved the hotel interior and the relaxed,non-stuffy atmosphere. That night I ordered room service dinner which was delivered by areally polite and genuinely friendly french girl. The spa treatment was excellent and my only minor complaint was that the water in the spa showers and pool was cooler than expected.Overall incredible service and a definite thumbs up if u are an independent traveller looking for a relaxed but luxurious place

Cannot be faulted

I stayed at the Maryborough recently and have to say the hotel is excellent. The room was a good size and clean. The bed was huge. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Food in the restaurant and at breakfast was very good

I cant say enough about how brilliant and enjoyable my recent stay at the Maryborough was...absolutely fantastic...so good that i had to write about it and to be honest I never usually get around to writing a review even tho im always full of good intentions. I arrived on Friday night last week wrecked tired and from the minute i got in the door i felt so much better. The place just seemed to have a buzz about it and the atmosphere cheered me straight up. I stayed in the old section of the hotel which has got lovely character...we booked room service which seemed to appear almost straight away and the food was very yummy indeed. On the Saturday we went for a swim and got treatment...I got a lovely facial... i really like their spa and will defo be visiting again on my next trip to Cork which im already planning. Well overall i had a ball and would be happy to recommend it to anyone who takes the time to read this.
