B&B KILCAWHOUSE: Good place

I had a very nice stay in this 3 Star Bed & Breakfast with its big park where you can go for a walk. Rooms are very clean and no noice outside.
All bedrooms have their own facilities and breakfasts are delicious. You feel like at home!.

Harbour Hill House: The best part of my vacation

My family stayed at Harbour Hill house last summer for 5 days. We would certainly recommend it to couples or small families. We loved the location. The view overlooking an inlet and Irish farmland was fantastic. It is located in the peaceful countryside, but it is only a few minutes' drive to Kinsale, which is a cute little seaside town.

The place itself is very homey. It is a wing of a house that is cut off from the rest, so it is very private. It has a bedroom, bathroom, utility room with toilet, kitchen and small living room. It is not excessively decorated, but we found everything to be comfortable and servicable.

The couple who own the house are very friendly and helpful. While we were there, Rita let us try some of her own chicken's eggs. They also helped us decide what to do in town, and advised us on which beach to visit.

The whole atmosphere if the place is great. I will remember staying in Kinsale forever as a wonderful, relaxing experience.

Wonderful view and location! Close to grocery store, post office, shops, beach and historic forts. Nice yard space, and well-landscaped. Neighbors don't mind you walking through their fields. One warning to Americans: there is no clothes dryer, just an air-dry option. You will need a car.

Quayside House: Nice B&B in Kinsale

Perfectly fine B&B not far from the Kinsale bus stop. Rooms have all of the comforts, and many rooms have nice views of the harbor. (at least ours did...)

UPDATE: I still can't guarantee this B&B is still open, but it's more encouraging with a new web review posted recently. To be safe, be sure to call or email ahead.

- Nice views of the harbor
- Friendly landlady with good travel advice
- Comfortable, inviting common room
- "Full Irish" breakfast in sunny dining room

Foyle's B&B: Kinsale's Inconvenient B&B

The sleepy touristy town of Kinsale in Southern Cork is lovely. The point of staying there, is to be near the water and the views. This B&B was four miles away from the water. If you haven't rented a car, don't stay there!!

It's a €8 cab ride each time from the B&B into the town. Gets quite costly.

The view was lousy, it was of a closed gas station. Picturesque? ummm NO. Not quite what I was expecting.

Stay closer to the water and to town. You won't regret it the way we regretted our stay.

Not only was the location lousy, but once in the shower it just turned off during the middle of it!! What a pain!!

And the breakfast only consisted of eggs and toast. Yum.

Foyle's

Great accomodation, lovely and clean with en-suite bathrooms, breakfast taken in the conservatory. Nothing was to much trouble for our hostess Joan. Watch out for the dog, lets you in the property but dont let you out that easily!!!!
