Days inn and travelodge: saving you money

Some of the best value accommodation in Dublin can be found here. As part of the re-generation of Ballymun these new hotels have gone up. I suspect that they must have been given very favourable tax breaks and cheap land for these chains to come in. They tend (not surprisingly) to play down the fact they are in Ballymun and rather promote the fact that they are close to the airport.

Both hotels have secure underground car parks. This is just as well as the main entertainment at night would be watching the locals out of your bedroom window :

either

a) 'shooting up' each other with sawn-off shotguns for gang territory

or

b) 'shooting up' their veins with low quality smack using needles salvaged from a disused lift shaft

or

c) ' shooting up' each other to produce more residents.

Handy for an early morning departure from Dublin airport, to be fair.
