Nice B&B between airport and city.

    by

This is a B&B we found by searching on www.tripadvisor.com. Lucky for us it worked out well. The location was good. It has a pub down the street which I liked even though the food left a little to be desired and the bus stop is right out front.

The service here was great and friendly and I was quite happy with it. The room was very basic. A bed and a light, a small tv and a tiny bathroom. But for the rate and the location we were very happy to be here and take that nap upon arrival.

Unique Quality: Service was excellent. In fact excellent is an understatement.

Off season was 35 Euros per person.

Directions: Just beyond the Skylon Hotel

Great Guesthouse in Dublin

A great bed and breakfast not far from the city centre. Bus stop in front of house can take you anywhere in Dublin. Joesph, the host, was wonderful in making my stay pleasant. A true gem.

Dublin accommodations

I have reserved a room at the Arlington Hotel-but have heard that may not be such a safe area-especially at night. Ant feedback would be appreciated. Perhaps across the river would be a better location?

The Arlington is practically one of the most central hotels you will find in Dublin, it is no more safe or unsafe than any other hotels in the city centre. If anything, stay where you are.

It is on the quays beside O'Connell bridge, so it is a very busy area. If you prefer to stay somewhere quiter, then OK, cancel the reservation and stay in the suburbs or the outer edge of the city centre.

I don't know anything about the Arlington but we stayed at the ABC Guesthouse. The location was great. We could catch about 4 different buses from city center and be home in 15 minutes. We never waited for a bus more than five minutes. The hosts were so helpful. When I asked for directions to a laundrymat to wash a pair of jeans for the trip home they washed and dried them for me - no charge. Breakfast was delicious and hearty and prices were more than reasonable. On arriving we bought a 3 day bus pass in the airport, walked to the curb, caught the bus and were at the hotel in 10 minutes. The ease of access and wonderful hosts help make our Ireland trip spectacular. Enjoy rous ! BZ from California

It's such a central location you'd be MAAAAD to cancel. Just be careful like you would in any other capital city!

I have just come back from a stay at the Arlington and never once felt unsafe. It is fairly central, but not as central as you would be if you stayed on the other side of the river. I would recommend a stay there to anyone. Unless of course you wanted a really quiet stay and then you would need to be on the outer areas of Dublin.
