Accommodation in Dublin

There are 32 rooms in this fine hotel accentuated with traditional furnishings in a Georgian type building.

Ceilings are tall, bathroom and shower en suite, breakfast is included, & color tv.

Rates around 60 (EUR) single; 100 (EUR) double (in 2003).

Unique Quality: Traditional furnishings in the room, and the hotel is centrally located in the heart of Dublin near St Stephens Green.

Albany House

Albany House

Unique Quality: A rarity in Dublin, the Albany House is completely non-smoking. That aside, it is also a lovely 18th-century house hotel just south of St. Stephen's Green, and is thus very centrally located. Welcoming and comfortable, the blazing log fire will make you smile after a hard day's sightseeing or shopping.

The rooms are simple, decorated with Georgian antiques and all have en-suite showers or baths. The whole house has been lovingly preserved and it is a great place for getting away from the sometimes hectic pace of Dublin. To top it all off, breakfast, which is included, is terrific, complete with homemade bread.

  • Opinion of Price: least expensive
