Aston Hotel

This is a very good option. The rooms and facilities are excellent. There is a nice bar area next to reception. It was also well priced given its location right on the River Liffey in Temple Bar.

One of the best deals in Temple Bar Area

I booked this hotel for my son and his 3 friends. They have a few quad room with bank beds. The place is a bit more comfortable than hostel with a private bath for about the same price you'd pay at the hostel.

The hotel is located along the river Liffey between the O'Connell bridge and the Ha'Penny bridge. Very convenient location as it sits at the edge of the Temple Bar area.

Unique Quality: Usually, a continental breakfast is included in the room fee.

Ideally situated accommodation

This hotel is in a prime location overlooking the River Liffey. Perfect for shopping and also if you plan to spend the evenings in Temple Bar.
The room was a tad crowded as we had three beds for 2 of us. If the third bed had been removed, it would have been an acceptable size. Not sure how 3 adults would cope in the room as I think it was too small for 3. Consequently, for our next trip (when there will be 3 of us) we have booked a different hotel.
The bathroom was small but perfectly formed and the shower was powerful.
Breakfast was continental but for a small amount of money, a full irish could be ordered.

The downside of the hotel (for me - not necessarily a downside for all) was the fact that as we were in a room at the front of the hotel, it was very noisy. The amount of traffic on that road is phenomenal. First thing in the morning it was not a welcome sound. However, we had requested a room at the front so we only had ourselves to blame. We did not consider the traffic before we did that.
I would stay at the hotel again, however, I would ask for a room at the back of the hotel.

Unique Quality: Although there was a downside to a room at the front of the hotel, the view of the Liffey was great.

Great Friendly Family Run Hotel

Situated right on Aston Quay, right beside O'Connell Bridge near a bus stop.

The Hotel may be hard to find, the entrance is beside a row of shops.

The reception is on the first floor. However there is access to a lift which takes you to both the reception and the bedrooms.

The rooms are modern, with tea/coffee making facilities, satellite tv, ensuite facilities. They're not overly big though.

Unique Quality: Quiet central Hotel.

Friendly, helpful staff.

Backs onto Temple Bar and also close to O'Connell Street.

Reasonably priced by Dublin standards.

Bar prices are reasonable.

Secure.
