I was astounded at the quality of the place. It is fairly new and located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Rooms and facilities are well maintained and cleaner than most European hotels. (or American ones for that matter...)
It is not downtown but the room prices are reflected in this. One can ride a bus downtown on one of the two lines whuich stop by the hotel.
Unique Quality: Quiet neighborhood. Various little stores located nearby for snacks and other amenities.
The restaurant and carvery is world class, but not outrageously priced.
Pricing is a good saving over the same class hotels downtown, including the Bewley's Ballsbridge.
My always preference.
Directions: Residential neighborhood bordered by main roads. West side of Dublin.
3 of us are staying at the new Bewleys hotel at dublin airport on the 9th for the Robbie concert. Can anyone tell me if this hotel is definitely open now as web page still shows opening spring 2006. Also , is there any transport from the hotel into drumcondra area or is it best to get a taxi and if so, how much approx would this cost.
