This is a B&B on the south side. I wanted to be in the same hotel as the other Scots for the Rotary conference I was attending, but it was full and I found the Donnybrook in the DK Eyewitness Guide.
It’s close to the RDS exhibition/conference centre - a good walk on a dry day.
We were very happy with it - clean, warm, quiet, good breakfast. The owner is friendly and helpful. Free wifi. Good value, in a city which is not well known for that!
I was driving, and it was quite easy to access from the M50 orbital motorway - junction 14, if I remember. It does not have off street parking, but the owner will help and take charge of keeping your car “legal”
You can catch a bus to the city centre about 100m away. €1.65 for an adult (1 way). Takes about 10 minutes.
Unique Quality: Value for money; location; friendly atmosphere
