Just wondering if hazelbrook house on gardiner ST/Talbot St is a better location in terms of convenience to bars/restaurants and safety or is
Kelly's hotel on St Georges st/Dame ST a better choice?
Have anyone ever stayed at any of these places? what's it like inside?

Generally speaking Gardiner Street/Talbot Street is a little more dodgy than Georges Street/Dame Street and is certainly a little further away from the epicentre of Dublin's pub scene, but only a little. From the outside both hotels you mention seem of the same calibre.
While a few years ago the advice would most definitely have been to stick to Georges Street, much has been done to upgrade the Talbot Street environs in recent years. If you're not bringing kids with you I would say that you should simply go for the cheaper option.

Agree with above, but would still prefer Kelly's, as it is near a number of excellent Pubs (Brogans, Hogans, the Long Hall, The nice one beside Hogans,) and is very close to Grafton St. During the day the Georges Arcade is good for a browse, and is a really impressive building. Its close to Whelans on Wexford Street too, a great venue for bands, but can get rough (depending on the band...
