A little away from the centre, but good value
This lovely hotel is a little off the city centre, but is a place I would definitively recommend. And if you like to walk, it is around 20 minutes from Trinity College away. And as it is in a quiet and rather safe area, it can be a better pick than a hotel at Temple Bar. The Lansdowne is rather small and family-owned. The building is Georgian one and the style of the rooms is rather traditional than modern. The usual amenities for a guesthouse like tean and coffee – maker are available. Rooms are clean, but most of them are not very spacious. It has a pub in the basement which seems to be only full when there is a special event going on. Breakfast is included in the price.
After I was too late to book my first choice (The River House Hotel in the Temple Bar district), I picked this one and was satistifed. Indeed, I recommeneded it to two olleagues and they came back prasing it as one of their favourite things on their Ireland trip.
