by charlesracine

Hello, does anyone have any information and detail on local/Dublin Flea markets, Car boot sales & Antique markets or stores on Sat June 19 & Sun June 21st? We really enjoy the experience of a local market. We won't have a car but, local public transportation works well.

Thank you all for any & all comments.

As far as I know one of the two Greyhound racing stadiums in Dublin have car boot sales on Sundays. It may alternate between the two (as the actual racing does). I'm not sure of the websites, but they are called Shelbourne Park Stadium on South Lott's Road, and Harold's Cross Stadium at...Harold's Cross!

You must get the bus to Glendalough. Its a monastic settlement surronded by the most picturesque secenery. It's so peaceful you feel if you have entered back into time and expect to hear the monks chanting. This bus leaves from St. Stephen's Green daily at 11am and comes back from Glendalough at 6pm. Plenty of places to eat when you get there. if you are feeling stressed go and unwind in this peaceful and tranquil spot. The best highlight of living in Dublin is the community spirit you feel when its St. Patrick's Day. The parade gets bigger and better each year, the kid's have a great day out.

Also when Ireland are playing in the World Cup every body loves each other and supports the team 100%

pop by the historic Customs House located along the tranquil River Liffey. This is where I worked (in Dublin). Just behind this landmark building is the Customs House Plaza - IFSC (it stands for International Financial Services Center, I think). I loved working here. But by dusk, this area is secluded (read: dangerous). In the summer of 2002, the Dublin branch of the bank I'm working with will be moving over to Georges Quay, a lovely glass building.

this is Molly Malone fast becomming one of the most photographed chicks in Ireland though probably not often like this.
My friends were susprised that I know nearly all the words to this famous Irish song.
First time I ever went to Ireland my mother was sure I would not come back such is my liking of all things Irish. fondest memories of Dublin was having friends meet me at the Airport both times i arrived.

soak in the unique atmosphere in and around the world famous Grafton Street. Here's a glimpse of some merry buskers along the pedestrianized mall.

Grafton Street is my fave hangout. I was here almost daily since my hotel is just round the corner. This is definitely Dublin's equivalent to the world famous Rodeo Drive. High fashion boutiques and trendy shops like Escada, Warehouse, Miss Selfridge etc can be found here.
