Stayed at the Montrose for a week. The room was nice, and at arrival it was nice to have biscuits and tea/coffee waiting in the hotel room. Service there was great, and it was situated close to UCD (University College Dublin), only a five minute walk.
This was the first stop on our 2006 EF Tour ("Across the Irish Sea"). It was convenient to bus stops when we wanted to go into the center of town, and it was clean. On a student trip, that's about as much as you can ask!
The dining room served a good breakfast, and there is a nice bar and lobby with comfortable seating.
A bit hard to say if the hotel is close to major attractions since this was our first hotel after our transatlantic flight. We were a bit tired and disorientated.
3 star hotel and the price range is probably from moderate to above average. This hotel was included in our organized tour so I cannot give accurate price. I think you can get discounts up to 70% through the Jurys website (jurys.com).
Very comfy and clean, friendly staff, hair dryer and iron/board in room.
