I have booked it from italy, and i had found it on Touring club guide(i'll never use that guide again). The hotel is..dirty,really really dirty;noisy..the area is close to the center but it's also close to the train station so it's really bad(i ask to a taxyman which was the worse area of dublin and he replyed"the one you come from").The smell is...well..not easy to describe, but believe me..not very good. The window didn't open(see the pic),what else?mmm with the same price i got a B&B at Donnybrook that was..wowowowow..so don't go to Otello's guesthouse
Unique Quality: dirty...the bad smell...not igenic...dangerous area..something else?
Othello Guesthouse, dublin
i'll be in ireland for 6 days with my gf during august and we have found a place to stay in Othello guesthouse that is in lower gardiner street.Someone went there and can tell me how is this guesthouse? and the area is quiet or dangerous expecially during evening? i haven't booked yet so as soon i'll get some replyes i'll decide if booking or not
thanks to all
I've never stayed at Othello but I can tell you that is a great area, close to everything. The street may be a bit busy, but it shouldn't be that loud. Have a great time in Dublin!
there was a question asked about safety in gardiner st a few days ago - please check that.
