Excellent Property
by TripAdvisor Member jt1929
We just returned from a three-night stay at this property and we came away very impressed. If you are travelling with friends or family and would like to have something that is closer to a flat than a hotel room, this place is perfect. The two bedroom suite had two separate bedroom, two full bathrooms, in addition to the ample living room and kitchenette. We couldn't believe how spacious it was.
The room decor was modern and understated. It was suitable for entertaining guests, though no one will mistake it for a five-star property.
The location is fine. On foot, it's five minutes to the green, 15 minutes to Temple Bar and 10 minutes to Grafton and the large adjoining indoor shopping complex (for groceries at Donnes).
We felt this was a great value at about E150/night and would recommend it without hesitation.
Great Value and Location

The hotel has a great location, very convenient to all Dublin sights, especially nice was the daily walk through St. Stephens Green to Grafton Street and Temple Bar area.
The rooms were more spacious than we expected and was a welcome surpise. We spent five nights there and would stay there again. Staff was friendly and quite helpful in making arrangements for us around town.
Great location - great price

Excellent location as per the other reviews. The good news is that we were upgraded to a two bedroom suite.. the bad news was that it was 15 mins walk away! On saying that we were pleasantly suprised at the quality of the apt. It was situated in the Harcourt Green complex on Charlemont St, which is a one stop tram ride from the top of Grafton Street. It may be worth your while asking on booking where your suite is as they are dotted around the city. No complaints whatsoever though. Staff at reception did their job and the only time we saw them was check in and out. We not only got upgraded but also had a great deal of £65 per night. The apt had two baths, two beds, kitchen, lounge, tv etc. etc. In the Harcourt Green compex there is a deli, cafe, launderette, etc. underneath. Fantastic location, great weekend. Enjoy.
Great time...

My husband and I just returned tonight from Dublin and had a fantastic time. We were there on business (which then extended to pleasure). For the first 4 days we were at a different hotel and were unsure what to expect with Stephens Hall but were pleasently surprised. The rooms were spacious (as compared to the previous hotel), clean, separate bedroom/living areas...and we had problems with construction starting around 7:30 one morning and staff was prompt on not only moving but upgrading us. The location is great as it is a 2 minute walk to St. Stephens Green park (where we ran most mornings), and about a 15 minute walk to the Grafton St/Temple Bar area. There is a resaturant attached for breakfast or a drink up tp your room if you prefer some quiet time alone...would definitly recommend this place to anyone and would return in a heartbeat.
Good Hotel

The hotel was very clean and well laid out. The staff were very helpful. Unfortunately we were put in a suite that appeared to have building works in the above room and were therefore woken up at 8.30 each morning.
But all in all was a nice 3 star hotel
Left early

The location was perfect. The down side was the whole upper floor was under construction. The crew worked from 8:00 to 8:00 in the evening (Saturdat included). We left early. Also, the rooms had peeling wallpaper and , in our opinion, was below acceptable.
Great location, spacious apartments, hotel staff so friendly

We stayed at Stephens Hall Hotel for three nights. Unfortunately we were given an apartment directly under the floor which was being refurbished. Although we were out all day when we arrived back late afternoon, hoping to relax before going out for the evening, the noise got unbearable and we felt we had to complain. The staff could not have been more understanding and helpful. They moved us to another apartment and organised for our luggage to be taken there. Although a litte further away the apartment was excellent and 'very quiet'. We would recommend these apartments as they are in a lovely area of Dublin. We loved walking through St. Stephens Park on our way to the shops and bars in Grafton Street. The coach to the airport also stops outside the Main Reception and costs 7 euros. The staff were so friendly and as well as being upgraded, even gave us a reduction on our bill. We shall definitely return.

Stayed here on a Thursday & Friday nite. Must say it was terrific. It's located just a few blocks from all the stores, music and crowds in a quiet neighborhood. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We'd stay there again in a heart-beat if we ever go back to Dublin.
