Good value, good location

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on November 30, 2014

We were warmly welcomed and efficiently checked in upon our arrival at Uppercross House Hotel.

The first plus before we even made it to the front desk was the free parking right on the premises. Such a bonus.

The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and very clean and breakfast (included in the price) was excellent.

Unique Quality: The hotel is situated at Rathmines which is in suburban Dublin but the area is well serviced by buses which run every ten to fifteen minutes into Dublin City. The area around the hotel is also home to many restaurants, bars, shops, beauty salons etc. It really is a great location for the price.

Uppercross House is definitely an establishment that I would recommend to anyone looking for good value in accommodation in Dublin.

Great place to stay.

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)

This hotel is great. Welcoming, clean, comeftable, reasonably priced, off street parking, it's own pub. What more could you want.

Public transport to the CBD was only 500 meters walk from the hotel, and busses were frequent.

Unique Quality: Great service

Simple hotel, a long walk from the centre

Good (3.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on November 14, 2005

It's a simple, but clean and good hotel. The city centre can be reached walking (20 minutes in a fast pace) or by bus (14 and 15), which leave in front of the hotel. A good traditional Irish breakfast is included.
Disadvantage: at the backside of the hotel the have created a beergarden (refuge for smoking people.) which is very noisy untill late in the evenening.

Unique Quality: Good breakfast.
A lively non-tourist area; you can easyly find a good pub or restaurant near or inside this hotel.
