Beechworth House: Bed & Breakfast - Manor House

We arrived in Portmarnock looking for a Bed & Breakfast for the evening but could not find the Information Centre. Took refuge in a Real Estate agency and the office manager said do not worry I know the place for you. A few minutes later we were travelling to Beechworth House not knowing what we had let ourselves into, no tariff mentioned only that it was very nice accommodation.

Entering Malahide we soon saw we were in a very upmarket village, most vehicles were new Mercedes or better. We soon found Beechworth House, a huge building in the form of an old manor house surrounded by large grounds.

We were soon shown to our room on the first floor, very large for a B&B , two double beds, nice bathroom and plenty of space for our luggage.

Located very close to the golf course in a beautiful district it is a long walk to the village and water. A local bus service exists, however you will enjoy your stay better if you have a vehicle.

A full Irish cooked breakfast is included.

Unique Quality: First class accommodation only 10 minutes drive from Dublin Airport.

Grand Hotel: The luxury of Malahide

I have to admit, I never stayed there. Why? Simple, can't afford it on my budget holidays :)
But this hotel is amazing, luxurious four star hotel with amazing lobby, rooms and extra polite staff.
It is located next to the Malahide Marina, has great facilities (golf course, tennis court) and a leisure centre that can occupy you and your kids for ages (swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, a gym and beauty salon - whatever you feel like doing). A great place if you have some cash to spare, money well spent.

Unique Quality: Guest rooms and amenities, leisure center, great sea view and wonderfull location on the doorstep of the Marina.

Biscayne House: Privacy lesson for other b&b owners!

We stayed there 4 nights and loved every minute of it!
The b&b is located along the coast road, a bit out of Malahide itself, near the Marina but it has a great transportation both to Dublin and the Airport (the bus stop is just outside the Biscayne estate). It is run by a mixed couple, an Irish man and his Philipino wife, who is a fairly good cook and a perfect housekeeper! There is nothing to complaign about really, the room's were cleaned on daily basis, the breakfast was tasty and the owners did not invade our privacy but at the same time they helped if we needed their assistance with anything (bus hours, best routes, etc).

Every room has a tv and tea making facilities.
It is also a choice if you're on a budget - we paid only 35 euro around St. Paddy's day!

I strongly recommend this B&B to anyone.

Unique Quality: Excepitionally clean!
