AKA Carlton Hotel Galway City

I stayed for four nights at the Carlton Hotel in Galway. I found the hotel very pleasant and clean. On the downside, it was quite a trek from the city centre so opting to use the nearby bus-stop is a good idea. My room was also very nice, although the shower was quite awkward to use. The hotel is a bit of a maze and you may have to walk quite far to your room. In addition, there were some renovation works going on when I was there although they were probably just teething problems as the Days Hotel was taken over by Carlton not long before I visited.

Unique Quality: The breakfast buffet was particularly good. There was a lot of choice, especially if you breakfast earlier before the crowds arrive. I used the Internet at one of the computers in the lounge reception for a small fee. There were also lots of leaflets for trips and places to see in the local area available from reception.
