Dingle, the heart of the west coast

Eileen the owner welcomes you with a cuppa. She is a delightful person and it is like staying with your favorite aunt. Room had en suite. Lovely breakfast. B&B situated close to centre of town, parked outside in street. Quiet.

If We Had Only Known!

On our last day in Dingle, we took a walk up the country lane just down the street from the B&B we had been staying at. Just 20 feet down the way, we ran across this B&B set back in beautiful gardens and overlooking a field and the hills of Dingle. The hostess, Eileen Collins let us in to look around. Very cozy!. Her husband gives archealogical trips and there is a bike rental place right next door. We learned after we got home that Kirrary is a popular B&B.

The B&B we stayed at (I can't remeber the name) was just across a narrow street from a traditional pub - which was great for us. But we discovered it is a local tradition that when the old folks have had their pints and head off to bed, the young folks head upstairs to the disco. And, you guessed it, that just happened to be level with our room. Disco lights and booming bass until well into night. Think they finally quit at 3 in the morning.

Morale of the story - central location is good - just exercise a little caution on how central.

The Kirray looked like a great place to stay - very central and yet quiet and secluded.

Unique Quality: A block from center of Dingle - yet out in the country.
