Beautiful Accomodations
We spent our 25th wedding anniversary here and were satisfied beyond description. Our room overlooked Lake Killarney. Close enough to downtown, but far enough away for peace and quiet.
Unique Quality: Incredible views of the lake.

Europe's Finest My Ass
An awful stay. Builders everywhere who were working very hard, but not really any inconvenience. Food was ***e and the manager was a prick. No swimming pool which was a balls.

Hotel Europe
Impressive entrance/grounds/facade. Nice hotel overall. Fairly empty at this time of year (end of October; they close in a few days). If you want space, luxury and comfort, this is the place to be. Balcony overlooking the water. Nice pub; I've enjoyed some good company there.
Unique Quality: Ponies in an adjacent pasture, if you can call lush, green, almost manicured lawns a pasture. Beautiful views all around. Tranquil country feel.

Excellent Five-Star Hotel on the banks of the lake
This was an excellent five-star hotel right on the shore of the middle lake of the three lakes of Killarney. This is a sister hotel to the Castle Dunloe hotel near the Gap of Dunloe. Both were created by a German entrepeneur, so have a Teutonic flavor in the furnishings, but it is under Irish management. The accomodations were comfortable, the food was slightly better than average and the views were incredible!
Unique Quality: It has incredible views of the lake, which should be enough reason to stay here, but it also has an indoor pool, free horse riding for all guests, two restaurants (international and cafe), two lounges, and a bar. There is a full Irish breakfast buffet.. It is adjacent to three area golf courses.
