Travel Tips for Tralee

Angling

by orlikins

My father used to enjoy a spot of angling and Tralee Bay is a very good spot to do it. I'm not sure if you need a licence or not, you can always ask around. well, a fishing rod would be a good start :)

Beautiful Roses in Tralee

by 807Wheaton

"Enjoy the Rose Gardens"

Tralee sits in the shelter of Tralee Bay, with a panorama of sea and mountains stretching in to the west. There is a beautiful area there dedicated to growing lovely roses. This is a good place to take a walk before visiting Kerry the Kingdom Museum at the Ashe Memorial Hall.

Orlikins goes to Tralee

by orlikins

My sister went to college in Tralee, so I went to visit her twice (in 3 years, isnt that dreadful!?) while she was there.

Tralee is a really young town, the Tralee Institute of Technology students ensure that the nightlife is buzzin'.

It's small, so you could definitely see everything in a few hours, like for example, you could spend a morning there and then head down to Dingle or Killarney in good time. Sure, it's small, but there is plenty of things there to do.

The town is on the River Lee, which enters the sea at Tralee bay, just a couple of miles outside the town. Tralee = Tra Li in Gaelic, meaning Bay of the Lee.

I cant believe I dont have any photos of Tralee, I'm sorry, if I'm ever there again, I'll make up for it, I promise! :)
