This is a very nice bed & breakfast in Ventry//Dingle. A very welcoming and very patient couple from England run it. They actually waited up until after midnight for my daughter and I in June of 2009. We ended up waking them up at 2:30 in the morning which should have angered them but did not. They were extremely nice, talkative, helpful, and cheerful.
Breakfast in the morning was in a small dining room with a number of tables set for all the guests. We never got up in time for normal breakfast but the very kind lady of the house made us anything we wanted. It was all delicious.
They have a few cats that are almost as charming as the couple themselves. However, the cats are not allowed into the main house. They can only get as far as the kitchen!! :)
The common living room is very homey and is stocked with games and cards in the event you stay in at night. However we did not. We roamed the country side with lots of recommendations of what to do and where to do it.
The rooms have twin beds with ensuite bathrooms. All very comfortable and nice.
We almost stayed an additional night in Dingle just because this couple was so nice and welcoming.
The couple running it are outstanding! Good view but somewhat limited.
I saw several ruins like this one in farm fields. This was on the property of a very nice Farmhouse accomodation called Ard An Chaislean.
