Furness House
by lbhspatriot
The Furness House is not in Naas itself but pretty close and is a Georgian house built in Palladian style around 1730. It is worth seeing for the ornate plasterwork and woodcarvings.
The house is open to public between 8 April - 9 June 2006 and admission is 5 euro.
The Furness is best accesible from the village of Kill or Johnstown (instructions how to get there are on the website, link below).
Commuter Town with more than meets the eye

"Naas - A nice place to shop :)"
I grew up in a village on the outskirts of Naas. Yes its the commuter belt but it also has a soul of its own. There are some fine pubs, cafés, restaurants as well as a number of interesting places to visit. It is also a big player in the "Expensive Ladies Boutique" industry.

"Finding my way Home"
When I was a Law Student there were occasions when I would take the bus home to Waterford (although I far preferred to take the train). The bus route took me through the Town of Naas and I always thought it to be a busy town. They had a Superquinn supermarket and at that time Superquinn would have been considered as good as you get in the food chain stores!!
