Daly's B&B

Although this B + B is not far from the John st bridge, it is not easy to spot. There is a sign on wall but the place is situated under a porchway. If you're in a car it is better to come from the bridge as from the other direction the porch is too narrow for a decent turning circle. You can park in here. The B + B looks a bit like an American motel from the outside (in the courtyard) and a little bit old-worldly inside. In fact it is quite homely and although the room is not that large was clean. Of course the good thing about being off the road is it really is quiet.

We paid 60€ for the double room inc. b'fast.

Directions: Crossing the bridge over the Nore river coming from the centre, it's a hundred metres up on your right. Try to spot the sign early to make your turn.

Owners Malachy & Frances Daly makes you feel right at home at their B&B. Situated close to all the major site seeing places with private parking I think it is one of the best places to stay. The cost was 30 Euro pp and we had a lovely triple room with en-suite.
Breakfast was fantastic and consisted of juice, cereal followed by bacon, eggs, tomato, toast and jams. And to round it all off a lovely cup of coffee or tea

Unique Quality: We were allowed to leave our car in the private car park whilst we went exploring the town which was really great.
