Castle Durrow: Stunning Grandeur

We stayed at Castle Durrow as our friends were getting married there. It's not the cheapest place for overnight accommodation, but it is truly gorgeous.

We had a deluxe room in the East Wing which looked out onto the terrace and gardens - it was beautifully furnished with a huge wooden king size bed, plenty of storage in two antique wardrobes, a lovely dressing table, both still & sparkling mineral water and a selection of magazines.

There was a TV in the room, but it barely picked up 3 local channels, so don't plan to watch it!

The bathroom was large, with plenty of fluffy white towels & Molton Brown toiletries

Breakfast was served in the dining room and was superb. Although we didn't dine in the hotel's restaurant, the same kitchen caters for weddings and the food we had was of excellent quality.

Unique Quality: It's a little oasis of calm just off the N7 - stunning views, impeccable service and very luxurious
