accomadations in carrick on shannon
Am traveling to carrick in late oct and have been having problems deciding on where to stay. Would really like the experience of a good bed and breakfast but maybe should stay with hotel. Would love feed back on where is the best. Thanks, Sandy

I would suggest Hollywell House, 353 (0)71 962 1124. They donot have a website, as of yet. I had the privelege of staying there for a night and left wishing I had been able to stay longer. Tom & Rosaleen are very welcoming and hospitable. There is also Caldra House, http://www.caldrahouse.ie/. Though I have not had the pleasure of staying there myself, my uncle staye dthere this past summer and said it was one of his favorites. He said he could have spent hours in the reading room and dawdling over breakfats in the conservatory.

It is a beautiful town with lots of accommodation.
