Woodlands House Hotel: Woodland House Hotel

4* Hotel just outside Adare, Co. Limerick. I stayed in the Woodlands Hotel just before Christmas 2002. I was one of many business trips last winter and it is definitely rates as one of the best Hotel I stayed in.

The rooms were very comfortable, with nice sofas, exactly what you need after a hard days work. One of my colleagues had a jaccuzzi bath!!!

The grounds of hotel are fantastic from what I saw walking from the car to the front door. The food in both the bar & restauraunt was excellent.

As I was there at christmas time the hotel was decorated for the festive season & looked brilliant.

Definetely a hotel to stay in if you want good food, luxurious surroundings & nice countrywalks.

The Devon Inn: Templeglantine

Might be worth considering if there is a large group of VTers coming and if you guys all want to stay in the same hotel. I had dinner there once, which was quite nice. The hotel is nothing out of the ordinary, but it's one of the main hotels in that area of Limerick

Nothing too fancy, it's West Limerick after all, but there are plenty of cheap B&Bs around or you could go and stay in nearby Askeaton or Rathkeale or even Templeglantine.
