Johnstown House Marriott Enfield: Wonderful Atmosphere!!
As many of my reviews show, I'm a fan of the Marriott chain all across the world. But let me tell you, the Johnstown House was outstanding, even by Marriott standards.
Not only did the staff welcome us with open arms, and very early as we had an overnight flight, but they made sure to call us by name and offer all the assistance they could. When we stayed here on the night before we left (nine days later) the staff remembered us and thanked us for coming back. This was some of the best service we had in hotels all across the country.
As usual, the bedding in the rooms was simply luxurious.
Unique Quality: Tons of parking - which is always a great thing near Dublin - the hotel is about 45 minutes west of Dublin, and about 40 minutes drive douthwest of Dublin Airport. The hotel sits on 120 acres of parkland, landscape and even has it's own riverside walkways.
Everything in the hotel was super clean and neat. Excellent stylized Irish pub and inner courtyard. Additionally, the hotel has a spa and therapy rooms as well as the standard pool and fitness room.
But my favorite part of the room itself was the bathroom. With a huge separate shower and tub, it made for a very relaxing experience after navigating the narrow roads of County Meath.
