Is there a laundramat in Sligo?? we will bw spending two weeks in ireland later this month. Our two day stop in Sligo is in the middle of our trip. Packing will be much easier if we knew we could do laundry while we wre in Sligo

Travel Tips for Sligo

leaving the cairn we debated the best route back to the car park. Both my friends thought the road looked like it curved around and would circle back to where we started. After walking for a while I became pretty sure that we should follow advice I'd garnered on previous hillwalks - DON'T assume that paths circled back! Most trails lead from point to point, not in loops, so to return to starting point you must retrace your route. Walking in the hills without very good maps, a compass, and water is a very unwise thing! Finally convincing my friends of this we returned along the same route.

When i passed people in Ireland, they looked at me, and it seemed as if they were about to say hello. Getting nearer, they did say hello, with a big smile - Naturally, i said hello back. This was a pleasant suprise as i live i London, and when passing people in London, heads are dropped and arms are in pockets, without saying a thing!

Sligo Rovers Fotball Club
Sligo Rovers was one of the more successful Irish football clubs (Eircom League).
If you are sufferig from football withdrawal while in the west, you cold do worse than pop down and watch them play when they are at home (their grounds are on the Pearse Road about 1km out of the town). You can check out their fixtures on their website or the posters at the ground.
