Rosses Point Campsite
For the second half of our stay in Sligo, we camped at Rosse's Point, on the opposite side of the two Sligo Bay peninsulas. Rosse's Point felt less "out in the wild" than Strand Hill as it had quite a large hotel nearby, as well as a golf course and tennis courts. It also lacked the great Knocknarea, but of course by this point Wayne and I had already experienced that mountain!
Unique Quality: At Rosse's Point is a small tourist trail that includes the small house where W B Yeats wrote some of his poems. It's got no roof anymore, and is pretty much just an old ruin, but its still worth going inside to have a little look around.
