the Theatre Royal Society by
the Waterford Corporation.

The City Hall, an imposing Georgian structure was built on The Mall
as an assembly rooms and playhouse for the people of Waterford.
The assembly rooms/playhouse became and remained for the next
eighty years, the centre of the social and cultural life of the City.
