Friendliest Hotel in Bray

This was our first stay in Bray which is on the DART train line south of Dublin . We normally stay in Dublin City (10 visits) but it's just got too expensive, too rowdy (stag nights etc)and generally abit impersonal. Classic Capital City Syndrome. So this was a very pleasant suprise indeed. From the moment we arrived, the staff from the management down to the cleaners and porters were top notch, couldnt do enough to help. The main Reception/Bar area is called Dusty's and the food provided was excellent - (compliments to the chef ) There is a little cosy local bar called Clancys attached next door with Traditional Irish Music and a host of local characters. For the younger crowd there is the refurbished Tube Nightclub just around the corner. The rooms were spacious and clean and whilst not luxurious, more than adequate and better than the two star rating suggests.

Unique Quality: NO POOL OR GREAT VIEWS , JUST BRILLIANT ATMOSPHERE COURTESY OF STAFF .
There are plenty of views down by the Bay or up on Bray Head for the more athletic. :)

  • Opinion of Price: less expensive than average
