View from my bathroom by kymbanm I found the room had nice furniture, great munchies for the morning, good TV reception and the bed was heavenly. I especially enjoyed the shower ..... nice strong spray and great heat! They call themselves a B&B, though it's more like a teeny-tiny hotel ...... 4 stories w/ 2 rooms on each floor. All private accomodations w/ bathroom en suite. The courtyard was pretty, and the hike to the top floor wasn't bad for an out of shape broad like me :) One of my companions didn't like the continental breakfast format - I loved it myself. I guess she was loking forward to bangers and such :) BTW- I just got an email from loverly VTer SabrinaSommerville to correct the name of this place :) She tells me it's Rinuccini's. "In fact the owners of the restaurant of the same name are directly related to the owners of La Palma Italian restaurant in Waterford." Thanks Sabrina!
Great location! Across the street from the castle, an easy walk around town ... and the view from my bathroom was fabulous! Cregg Castle is an original castle...that has been made into a combination of Bed and Breakfast, Concert Hall, and Gentlemen's Farmhouse. The hosts are Ann Marie and Paddy Broderick, who are diamonds in the roughs. Both talented traditional Irish musicians they will accomodate you well with a real Ireland experience. I loved it from the minute I passed through the gate and down the long winding dirt road through the woods. What could be more exciting than staying in a castle and not the fancy kind....but a rustic peasantlike one??? Our room was large on the second floor (they call it the first), dark blue walls, shower bathroom, three beds and lots of room. Deep set windows that overlook a fairyland of mystic misty fields and stone outbuildings. Animals everywhere, dogs, dogs and more dogs. Sheep, donkeys, etc. And the great huge loving cats.
A real live castle, of course. Traditional music played in evening around the fireplace. Animals everywhere and places to walk and explore. Close to everything for short day trips in Co. Galway. I found a tip on Beach Cove here on VT; Sabsi gave it a high recommendation emphasizing its beautiful location. When I saw Beach Cove in her photographs I thought to myself: it is something for us. The place can enchant anyone with its perfect beauty. The house is situated at St. Finian's Bay offering you the wonderful views of the ocean. The place seems so remote and peaceful that it came as a surprise when on the second day of our stay there, when we came back from a walking trip, we found several cars parked at the bay. It turned out to be the best place for surfing in the vicinity. But in the evening this part of the world was 'only ours' again. We enjoyed its tranquillity broken only by the sounds of waves on the first two evenings. But then we found out that our plans to spend an evening out in a pub couldn't be realized because the nearest pub was about 10 km away, so we decided to move to Portmagee. Man is a social being, after all.

Just short of a Hotel by scottishvisitor $cgThe guest house has all the ammenties of a hotel but with a great personal touch. The staff are friendly & helpful. Set in a quiet location in Clifden, Connemara, relax in the beautiful furnished bedrooms & awake to the sound of church bells, sheep, chickens & of course the rooster.
The guesthouse doesn't have a licence to sell alcohol, but your host Michael will provide a corkscrew & glasses & chill your wine & beer which you can enjoy in the comfy lounge. Theme: Bed and BreakfastComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: Hulk Street Clifden Co. GalwayPhone: 095 21625

St. Jude's is rated #2 best B&B on Trip Advisor, and I can verify that it is probably the number one best. Wonderful from A to Z. Central location, great hostess, two adorable poodles, lucious beds, clean rooms, hot powerful shower ensuite. Formal dining room with thick white table linens, gleaming dishes and coffee and tea pots. Fresh stewed fruits, great homemade soda bread, the best we had on our trip.
Great quaint looking exterior with private gated parking area in front. Bus stop right outside the door to inner city, etc. Homey lounge with fireplace. Private, private, private. Quiet, quiet, quiet. Warm in winter, which believe me is a BIG plus. Theme: Bed and BreakfastPrice: US$40-80 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: 110 Lower Salthill Rd. Excellent Bed & Breakfast in a country setting. Moate is a small farming market town near Athlone. The farmhouse is part of a working farm complete with resident bull (he was a big fella) he was best viewed from the bedroom window.
Superb furnishings - fantastic pottery on sale & to eat off made by a local artist. Great irish breakfast. We returned late at night from a visit to the local pub - to find the gate locked - we had a door key but - a well just climb the gate - it's easy after a drop of the black stuff. The Ball Hill Youth Hostel is definitely the best hostel in Ireland and can easily compete with the best hostels I have been to in Australia! Your host Kevin is one of the greatest guys you can meet who does everything to make your stay in this part of the country a great one. He has great tips,if you are lucky he will take you with him on his sailing boat and don't forget to ask for the complimentary Ball Hill *** Tour...:-) I honestly felt completely at home here!!! The surroundings of the hostel are breathtaking to say the least!...The hostel is situated right at Donegal Bay so ask Kevin for a rwoing boat!
In the living room and the dining room the walls are plastered with thank you letters or drawings of former guests and all sort of things that you just have to see and read for yourself. All the facilities are good and you even have a balcony!! Theme: HostelPrice: less than US$20 » Currency ConverterComparison: least expensiveAddress: DonegalPhone: +353 (0) 74 9721174Directions: If you are heavily packed the walk to the hostel from Donegal Town will take you about an hour and a taxi drive won't cost you much. If you don't mind...the walk up to the hostel leads you along Donegal Bay and is a very nice one.

Country Farm Accommodation, ITB Approved, Crossroads to Dingle, Ring of Kerry and Killarney. Bedrooms ensuite, Breakfast Menu & Evening Meals. Hosts Podge and Gret Leane. We had a very pleasant stay at Kilburn House. Gorgeous setting nestled between the two peninsulas. The outside of the house is very quiant, the interior has been modernized and lacks charm, but the hosts are wonderful with three sweet children. Private area away from family for bedrooms, so quiet. Excellent breakfast and the only place that offered us both white and black pudding. The best creamy porridge that we had in Ireland on our trip. Would definately go back to this sweet Bed and Breakfast.
Location, very central in Co. Kerry. Allowed us to tour Kenmare, Killarney, Milltown, and the Dingle Peninsula all in one day. Adare Manor is a luxury hotel that was built inside the old palace and it is still surrounded by a giant park with a river running through it, they have their own golf-course with the ruins of an old friary in the middle (my 2nd and 3rd pictures). In summertime there will be guards at the gates of the park and they will send away all day-tourists, but some years ago, in April I was lucky to get in and was able to take my photographs.
Click on my link below and read more about this hotel !In a place like this, better don't ask for the price - simply bring enough money with you !!!
