Santa Croce in Fossabanda: Unique Hotel in Pisa

The convent of Santa Croce in Fossabanda has recently been transformed into truely unique accommodation.
It's XIV century buildings have been carefully refurbished to retain their character yet provide comfortable living quarters. Much if not all of the original art features have been retained and it is indeed a very peaceful place.
It is still developing but already provides conference facilities - ideal for groups wishing to meditate and discover themselves I would have thought.

Basic but comfortable.
No pool and I doubt they will ever put one in - it's not that kind of place.
Delightful architectural features which have not been spoiled by the re-furbishment.
Lifts have beeen installed so it is suitable for those with a disability.
