We were there essentially 2 week s as part of an Elderhostel group. Th ehotel is a fine old building that has been totally modernized. The rooms are of ample size with well appointed bathrooms. We ate most of our meals there. The cuisine was sturdy Italian fare. One morning we had a pasta making class and made our own gnocchi for lunch. Some of the lectures were held in a lower level room that was carved from the tufa below the hotel. The staff were ecstatic to serve a goodly group of Americans and were very attentive,
